The Worth Of Knowing

we argue in our living rooms which lives are worth defending
lives of people we never met 
as if we're gods

we discuss genocide promised by one people
and the mass murder committed by another people
judging which sin is worse
as if we're gods.

we weigh the horrors some people experience
against the horrors another people experience
horrors we've never experienced
O Lord, we're not God

Because God experienced the worst of all horrors
because God judged all people condemned
and God desires that no one should perish

O Lord, we are not good gods.
